Why We Exist

Our mission is to minimize damages, claims, injury, and death caused by inexperienced boaters. Recognizing the imperative need for on-the-water training, top US boat insurers are increasingly advocating for mandatory training for all new boat owners, irrespective of their vessel's size or cost.

How We Do It

Ensuring a thorough learning experience for new boaters necessitates the use of an approved and defined curriculum. Simply being "trained" by the dealer or hiring a USCG certified captain is insufficient. SaferBoater exclusively engages credentialed NSBC Captains conduct training, ensuring each new boater receives a standardized and effective learning experience consistent throughout the United States.

Completing this training and certification empowers new boat owners to not only enhance their on-the-water skills, knowledge, and confidence but also secure and reduce the cost of their boat insurance.
