Do You Qualify?
We're hiring elite instructors who meet the highest standards of experience, professionalism, and teaching ability.
Must Have
📜
Valid USCG Captain's License
50-ton minimum required; 100-ton preferred for yachts 27'–100'+.
📅
10+ Years Boating Experience
Demonstrated real-world captaining on ocean and/or lake environments.
🎓
3+ Years Teaching or Mentoring
Experience training others — on or off the water. Must be patient and good with all ages.
🔍
Pass Background Check & Drug Test
All SaferBoater captains undergo comprehensive screening before joining the network.
Ideal Candidates Also Have

Own a Boat 18–26 Feet
To offer public small boat training from your own vessel. (Not required for all roles.)
📆
Available 1–2 Weekends/Month
Flexible scheduling for small boat programs; 1–2 weeks/month for yacht programs.
