Master Captain Matt Derrenbacher holds a near Coastal Captain's License for Self Propelled Vessels. Originally born in North Carolina, Captain Matt now resides in Fairhope, AL after a 20 year career of service in the US Coast Guard. A retired Coast Guard Commander, Captain Matt has served on active duty on the East Coast, West Coast, Gulf Coast, and Alaska, and has the Order of the Magellan for circumnavigating the world on a Coast Guard Cutter during a deployment to the Persian Gulf. He is a boating instructor and owns his own maritime business Wise Mariner, LLC. Matt continues to serve his community as a youth sports coach, and Adult Leader in the Boy Scouts of America, and his free time is spent on the water with his family. |
