Powerboats up to 25 Feet
The SaferBoater Skipper Program for Small Powerboats is a complete, one-stop Driver's Education course for boats (typically up to 25 feet) with standard equipment. This program will level up your skills and teach you the basic skills to maneuver a vessel confidently and safely in crowded waterways, reducing your risk of collisions or accidents.
Successful program completion qualifies you for discounted boat insurance with a SaferBoater Insurance Partner.

We have collaborated with insurance companies to develop an approved program that enhances your boating skills and qualifies you for valuable insurance discounts.
The SaferBoater training program includes a thorough checklist comprising 42 sections and 483 items, specifically designed for novice and experienced boaters. This course aims to sharpen your skills and prepare you for on-water sessions, empowering you to navigate waterways confidently and competently.
We recommend participating in this assessment every three years to ensure your knowledge and skills remain current with evolving regulations and laws.
If you feel uncertain after completing the assessment and skills class and wish to concentrate on specific areas, such as close-quarter maneuvering or docking, we offer targeted skill-builder courses to help you further develop your abilities. Our primary goal is to ensure you feel confident and capable on the waterways.
Note: The class duration may increase for three-four participants. Please be aware that additional time may be required if you arrive without previous boating experience.
