How to Book this Course:
Choose a Public class on our boat, or a Private class on your boat.
Public on-water training on our boat requires a minimum of 3 participants. SaferBoater will arrange an alternative schedule if that minimum has not been met.
Private on-water training takes place on your personal boat for up to 4 participants (10yrs & over). One participant will be registered for the entire group.
NSBC - Module 4
This fourth skill-builder course focuses on Open Water Advanced Maneuvering. You will learn how to reach and come down from planing mode without getting stuck plowing your boat through the waves. When driving at speed, you will learn the important differences and skills used in gradual, sharp and avoidance turning maneuvers.
In open water, you will also come in close proximity to larger boats, so you will learn how to properly handles waves and wakes, emergency stops and man-overboard retrievals.

By learning these advanced maneuvering skills, you will be more confident and thus safer on the open water. And trust us, nothing is more embarassing that returning to port with fewer people that you left with. As Ricky used to tell Lucy, "you got a lot of explaining to do....".

Certifications Information:
This skill builder course is Module 4 of a 4-Module study. Completing all modules, along with this online curriculum and test, qualifies you for a Boater Education Certification Card that is valid to rent and operate boats in all 50 States.
